David Border

Systems Engineer

David has been an IT professional for about 6 years but his interest in computers began when he was a teenager. He taught himself how to disassemble, upgrade, and reassemble computers so that his PC would be powerful enough to play the latest video games! Before coming to NWG, David ran a small IT service company in Lexington, VA where he acquired enough experience and know-how to become dangerous with a mouse and keyboard. His actual job title was “Destroyer of Problems” which fit well because of his passion for using IT as a tool and coming up with new solutions for his clients.

WHAT’S THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?

Being an important part of something bigger than myself and using IT to make life easier for our clients.

WHEN YOU’RE NOT AT WORK, WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO FOR FUN?

Playing virtual reality games, checking out live events, and making music! If I can do these things with my siblings, I’ll be even more entertained!

NAME ONE THING ABOUT YOU THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW OR WOULDN’T EXPECT.

In my younger days, I was a guitarist in a rock band that played shows at local Charlottesville bars. I also had about 2 feet of hair made of pure rock ‘n’ roll!
