Tyler Aker has programmed, configured and maintained computers for over 10 years. Born and raised in Charlottesville, he enjoys living in the area and being a part of the local community. He served as the Network I.T. Administrator at Aker Wade Power Technologies, where he maintained computers, servers, and other network devices. He has experience installing and administering systems with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, and File Share. His experience also includes web design, network administration, and desktop computer repair.
What’s the best part of your job?
I love having the ability to learn something new and different every day. Every new complex problem is a new challenge to overcome.
When you’re not at work, what’s your favorite thing to do for fun?
I enjoy seeing live music, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and hiking trails on the Blue Ridge.
Name one thing about you do that most people don’t know or wouldn’t expect.
In addition to computers, my second passion is working on and repairing cars.
